I. ECO-T1 RATES, FED AND SOVEREIGN DEBT | ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS

Yields. Treasury's 26 Oct par curve shows the 10-year at 5.00% (unchanged), the 2-year at 4.68% and the 30-year at 5.31% (Treasury). Early Tuesday the 10-year was 4.982% (CNBC). Treasury auctions $70 billion of five-year notes today (Dow Jones via MarketScreener). Fed. CME FedWatch shows about a 90% chance of a hold at 3.75–4.00% on Wednesday and about 73% for a December hike, up from 42% a month ago (Yahoo Finance). LSEG data put the hold at 89.5%. Pimco expects a hold with "a clear tightening bias" and is watching how many officials dissent for a hike (MarketScreener). No new projections are due at this meeting. Indicators. 10y ABNORMAL; weekly move ROUTINE; Fed vs pricing ABNORMAL; auctions ROUTINE. Roll-up: ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS (=). Analyst Comment. The market has moved the next hike to December, so a hold on Wednesday would not ease T1 on its own. The dissent count (ECO-04, 55%) and the press conference tone are the real signals. The 10-year has held at 5.00% for two sessions; ECO-09 asks whether the week's data push it to 5.10%.

II. ECO-T2 INFLATION AND ENERGY PASS-THROUGH | ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS

Energy. December ICE Brent settled at $115.81 on 26 Oct, down 91 cents and its fourth-highest settle of the year, after touching $117 intraday; WTI settled $101.76 (Dow Jones via Morningstar; CME bulletin). Prices eased on a Saudi-led delegation's visit to Tehran but held up after Houthi claims of strikes on East-West Pipeline pumping stations, which Saudi Arabia did not confirm (Reuters via Euronext; Newsquawk). December Brent was $116.45 at 4:57 a.m. ET today (CNBC). Newsquawk reports the SPR fell to 282.6 million barrels, the lowest since 1982. Gasoline. AAA's national regular average is $4.266, from $4.286 yesterday and $4.279 a week ago (AAA). EIA's last weekly price was $4.284 for 19 Oct; its next release is dated 27 Oct (EIA). Indicators. Core CPI ROUTINE; T5YIE ROUTINE; Brent SIGNIFICANT; gasoline SIGNIFICANT. Formula POTENTIAL CRISIS; override −1 to ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS (kept): both Significant reads come from one oil shock while core and breakevens stay Routine. Trend =. Analyst Comment. December Brent is about $6 above the ECO-08 line ($110) with three sessions left, so ECO-08 (40%) now looks less likely than when logged. Retail gasoline keeps drifting down, and ECO-05 ($4.35) is very likely to miss today.

III. ECO-T3 LABOR AND GROWTH | NO CRISIS

No new data yet. Durable goods, consumer confidence and new home sales are due today, and PCE on Thursday (CNBC). GDPNow last read 3.5% (Atlanta Fed). Payrolls ABNORMAL; others ROUTINE. Roll-up NO CRISIS (=).

IV. ECO-T4 HOUSING AND MORTGAGE | ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS

No new data. 30-year fixed 7.32% (22 Oct) (Freddie Mac). Next PMMS 29 Oct. 30y SIGNIFICANT. Roll-up ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS (=). Analyst Comment. With the 10-year at 5.00% through the survey week versus 5.09–5.13% the week before, ECO-07 (below 7.32%, 60%) remains favored.

V. ECO-T5 DIGITAL ASSETS (BITCOIN) | ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS

Price. The 26 Oct UTC close was $80,006.66 (Yahoo), a new low in the BTC-06 window; CoinGecko's 00:00 UTC 27 Oct value was $80,029.43 (CoinGecko). Bitcoin was $79,468 at 07:39 UTC (Coinpedia) and about $79,694 on CoinGecko at 10:40 UTC. Drawdown from ~$126.2k is 36.6%. 30-day realized volatility (CoinGecko closes) is about 25.0%. Flows and holders. US spot ETFs took in $110.3M on 26 Oct, all into IBIT, after $773.5M of outflows on 22–23 Oct (Farside). Strategy made no purchases in the week of 19–25 Oct and holds about 848,517 BTC at an average cost of about $75,446 (Investing.com). Plumbing. USDT $0.9987, USDC $0.9994 (CoinGecko). Hashrate ~1,071 EH/s vs ~1,023 EH/s 30-day mean (mempool.space). Fear & Greed 48, from 50 (Alternative.me). Electrum shipped version 4.8.3 to fix an actively exploited payment-substitution flaw; losses were not disclosed (CryptoSlate). Indicators. B-1 ABNORMAL. B-5 SIGNIFICANT. B-2, B-3, B-4, B-6, B-7, B-8, B-9, B-10 ROUTINE. Roll-up: 1 Significant + 1 Abnormal = ENVIRONMENT FOR CRISIS (=). Analyst Comment. Price has now closed on the ~$80k cost-basis band three days running while ETF buying is thin and the largest corporate buyer has paused. BTC-10 (<$79k close by 3 Nov) needs only a ~1.3% further fall and is slightly more likely than even; the Fed decision is the likely trigger.
